There are three distinct variations of Velociraptor which were cloned by InGen, not counting sexual dimorphism seen within each individual version. Bryce Dallas Howard Wants To See Original Characters Return in Jurassic World 3

Where has time gone? The Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom DVD/Blu-Ray is officially out in stores! On September 6th, Bryce Dallas Howard spent a day in NYC filming interviews and promoting the release. Now those interviews are popping up and, along with this, comes some speculation and light (very light) news on Jurassic World 3.

Bryce has mentioned in multiple interviews recently that she is especially eager to see the original cast return. Her answers have bounced between Laura Dern (specifically) and just all the original characters in general.

She also spoke with Collider about Jurassic World 3.

What have you heard about the final film in this trilogy?

HOWARD:  I’ve talked to a lot of different folks who are involved. Colin [Trevorrow] is writing it now with Emily [Carmichael], and she just brings such an incredible perspective and voice. They have been quite close for awhile, and Colin’s been a huge supporter of her work, and vice versa. The fact that they’re working on it now is exciting and inspiring. I saw them last week, and it’s good. It’s really, really good.

Especially with the way that Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom ended, do you have any personal hopes, for what could happen, now that it feels even more wide open?

HOWARD:  I think we’re gonna be seeing these characters be faced with impossible choices to make, and circumstances beyond their wildest dreams and nightmares, where these animals are now a part of the world again. It’s not just about a handful of dinosaurs that were able to be re-animated, and one hybrid dinosaur that is monstrous. Now, not only are the animals out there, but the technology is out there, as well. Who knows what people can create? I’m just really excited to see this imagined world changing.

  1. Not only do I agree with the return of Alan Grant and Ellie Sattler in Jurassic World 3, but also with the other former characters of the original Jurassic Park trilogy with those of the new Jurassic World series: Tim, Alex , Ian Malcom, Sarah Harding, Kelly and Nick Van Owen of The Lost World, Billy Brennan, and maybe Charlie, the son of Ellie Sattler seen on JP3, and Barry of JW.
I would love to see a meeting between the rapacious Blue and Alan Grant, where he communicates with his raptor resonance camera seen in Jurassic Park 3, and teamed up with her.

    1. Me to, man! I want to see everyone you just listed in JW3 as well as some others you didn’t mention like Gerry Harding, the bearded scientist from the lab scene in the first Jurassic, the little girl who got mauled at the beginning of TLW, Ellie’s parrot. In fact, I’d be completely down with seeing deceased characters return via cloning like Ray Arnold, Eddie Carr, Cooper and Nash, and Eminem……

It could be so cool and f u n !

      1. It would be awfully corny and forced.

Contrived for the sake of it, empty attempt at creating sentiment in the audience “Dr Grant never knew he would do THIS with a Raptor!” oh dear no.

To add to that, Blue has a relationship with Owen, not Grant. It would be stupid if they “teamed up”. And because Trevorrow knows what he is doing, he was sensible in still making it clear Blue is dangerous.

    2. how will they all fit??
i could see is 3 rio Ian, Alan & Ellie tagging with them would have to be Tim and Lex (you misspelled Lex)

Sarah would make a good time to return but all those characters.. idk.. i don’t see them all returning unless a lot of them are gonna end up being killed off with the exception of Owen, Clair & Mazzie

i don’t see most of them returning except who we already figured was time to return but i also see Ian making a appearence again

    3. As much as I would love to see Dr. Grant observe Blue. You don’t just ‘team’ up with a Raptor… That is a bad idea that too many people have stuck in their heads. Blue is unique, like a Police Dog in behaviour. But even a trained Dog doesn’t like strangers.

  2. Did she not eat during filming? How does she change her appearance SO much? Cute, thin and trim one moment, then chubby and goofy the next… Like two different people!

    1. She wasn’t “trim” in Fallen Kingdom, look at her legs, always look at the legs. I guess she has a pear-shaped figure that is just really dificult to keep under control, same goes for Chris Pratt, you can tell by the shape of his body that there’s always a little fat boy inside trying to break free 😉

  3. Would absolutely love to see original cast members returning, especially Laura Dern, but have zero faith in Trevorrow & Emily writing them into the story both logically and faithfully.

    1. I don’t really think it’s relevant to anything happening in this story to have any characters from the original film, or others from the first three. Anyone from Jurassic Park 3 would be especially pointless. Doesn’t mean some of the characters you could mention returning, wouldn’t be fun.
But as everyone keeps mentioning, it has to be done well.

The focus needs to be on the characters most relevant though. And when it comes to bringing characters back, most importantly I want to see Zia and Franklin return, joining Owen, Claire and Maisie. Barry would be a logical choice to come back too.

          1. While I recognize that is the hope of people like you, the messenger may die but the message will live on. Truth is absolute, whether those who speak it die out or not.

I would love to see a meeting between raptor Blue and Alan Grant, where he communicates with his chamber of resonance of a raptor seen in Jurassic Park 3, and team with her.
