Velociraptor (Film Universe)
There are three distinct variations of Velociraptor which were cloned by InGen, not counting sexual dimorphism seen within each individual version. However, despite the surface level variations, each sub-species remains relatively similiar in terms of physical attributes. Each species is roughly 6 feet tall…

DAY 1 – Bryce Dallas Howard Kicks off Filming with the First Set Photo

Yesterday, in a dreary business centre complex in Slough, England, the production team for Jurassic World 2 began to setup for filming. While some fans visited the area to see what they could spot, it became clear that this was not day 1 of principle photography as originally thought, but instead a day of preparation with filming to commence the following day.

Actress Bryce Dallas Howard just confirmed the fact in a new tweet, featuring the first official photo from the set of Jurassic World 2. She writes: “Day 1.”

We can see in the photo that they are currently filming inside the Langley Business Centre, which as predicted, has had a set built inside of it. Notice the HMI light poking out just above the chair. What is behind this wall? That we don’t know, and hopefully won’t until June 2018.

In 2014 producer Frank Marshall tweeted to announce the first day of filming on Jurassic World, with set photos following shortly after. Hopefully we will see some official photos of the team on set today.

The sequel to 2015’s Jurassic World has now officially begun filming and will continue throughout the coming few months, filming at Pinewood Studios, an Army Training Ground in Surrey, Brecon Beacons in Wales and of course, Hawaii.

Best of luck to the cast and crew of Ancient Futures!

We’ll keep you updated on all the filming news as soon as we hear it, so be sure to stay glued to our Instagram, Twitter and Facebook channels for the latest!

  1. This is so exciting! I have high expectations for this film (which I know isn’t good, since it’s easy to feel disappointed), mostly due to Bayona’s direction. I’m glad to see the actors excited as well. B.D. Howard seems particularly happy and proud to be part of the team, which is fantastic. I can imagine the feeling to be part of something so huge and so anticipated by such a crowd of fans.

Everyone, we’re being given another JP gift! Let’s hope for the best and show our power in theaters next year. Let’s make it clear to Universal that we deserve more and more.

  2. It’s always exciting when pictures of the production are put in the net. I have fond memories of discussing the meaning behind each of the tweets for Jurassic World with other fans back during 2014. This won’t be different.

As for my expectations for the film, not too much nor too little. Too much and you’re quaranteed to be let down. Too little just feels depressing since we’re all sharing a passion here for a franchise that I’m sure that most of us wish the absolute best for. The saying goes, good things come to those who wait. To quote Spike from Cowboy Bebop, whatever happens happens. Just hold on to your butts, folks.
