New Walmart Commerical features ‘Jurassic Park’ Explorer and Compys!

Walmart released a commerical during the Golden Globes this past Sunday for their new grocery pickup service, which allows customers to order groceries online and have it delivered to their car. By the end of 2019, Walmart hopes to have 2,140 online grocery pickup sites. The promotional commercial released features iconic vehicles from TV shows and movies such as the Batmobile, the Ghostbusters ambulance, Knight Rider Firebird, Dumb & Dumber “Mutt Cutts” van, Scooby Doo Mystery Machine and most importantly, the Ford Explorer from Jurassic Park.

“We not only picked famous cars from iconic movies we knew would be instantly recognizable to our customers — and launched the campaign during one of the film industry’s most popular awards shows — but we also worked with a variety of different Hollywood studios to gain access to these vehicles,” Messing explained. “This helped ensure the famous cars looked just like what our customers knew from the films, while demonstrating the ease, speed and convenience of the service and that it’s for everyone, regardless of what car you drive.”

Below, please enjoy the 90 second commerical from Walmart featuring the Jurassic Park Ford Explorer and compys!

  1. How did they get all these licenses?! But the Compies are cute. And where is the Weasley’s flying car from Harry Potter?

  2. I believe that the CGI compys in this commercial are more realistic than the CGI compys in Jurassic World : Fallen Kingdom.

    1. no, they are not better cgi. the animation is more basic here.
pd: complaing about the cg is too 2015. if something was good in fallen kingdom it was the cgi and practical effects. complain about the screenplay instead

      1. Fallen Kindom’s CGI was mediocre. It lacked realism, somehow. That sort of thing actually happens when you spent more money on advertising than on the actual product.

      2. CGI in Fallen Kingdom was even worse than in the first Jurassic World. Blue is cartoonesque and compys are just blurry little green jumping everywhere.

  3. Ever wondered why Rexy was kept alive and not put down for killing Gennaro? Considering that man-eaters are usually killed, and the families of the victims usually demand it…

Well, watch Ian Malcolm talk with Peter Ludlow at the start of TLW. Malcolm says that Ludlow ‘twisted the facts’ and lied about 3 of the 5 deaths that occurred in Jurassic Park.

Interesting. What other implications might that dialogue have?

  4. ik this isnt related to the commercial, but I have some hopes for JP6/JW3

First, get rid of any major kid role that is going to be in that movie. I get so annoyed in these movies where the little ones are always some big trouble.

Second, no Ellie Sattler. She is a little too feminist for me. I know all of you nostalgic people want her back but, cmon, Alan is better by a mile.

Third, Wu will finally die for goodness sake.

Fourth, I dont want it to be all, the dinos eat the bad guys and the good guys get away, HOORAY!! No, we need someone big to die, so the movie has a little bigger impact. Not saying Ian Malcolm should but hey, it would be an interesting spin on the plot.

Fifth and final, NO SPINO, I WANT A DILO, NO REXY DIE, BLUE GETS A BOYFRIEND, and I hope someone agrees with me on this, I want it to be the last JW/JP movie. Jurassic World was a fluke, and honestly, i think it was the 2nd worst, (TLW being the best. duh) and JWFK was just plain horrible script. I hope we will see the farewell of the dinos in this (hopefully) final film.
(This is a 12 year olds opinion btw. Dont get mad or anything)

    1. Alan and Ellie should both return. They compliment each other. Ellie remains the strongest, most realistic female character in the entire series. Don’t bring “isms” into this. She IS a strong and lovely female character. Similarly, Alan Grant is the best male leading character out of all the films. They both should return in JW3! One character won’t work without the other.
