‘Kong: Skull Island’ is sure to impress, and is loaded with talent. Directed by Jordan Vogt-Roberts (The Kings of Summer), with a cast starring actors such as Tom Hiddleston, Brie Larson, Samuel L. Jackson, Corey Hawkins, Toby Kebbell, John Goodman, and John C. Reilly. The films writing credits include Max Borenstein, John Gatins, Dan Gilroy , and Jurassic World’s Derek Connolly.

Check out the trailer below!

That’s one big great ape! This reboot features the largest King Kong to date, partly due to the announcement of an upcoming ‘Godzilla vs King Kong’ film. As such, the films dinosaurs seemingly have also seen a colossal size boost. While these dinosaurs are likely closer to monsters than animals when compared to Jurassic Park, it’s always great to see more mainstream films featuring the extinct beasts.

The cataclysmically beautiful ‘Kong: Skull Island’ releases March 10th, 2017 – and it may just be the movie we need to bide time until Jurassic World 2 in June 2018.

  1. Pardon me, where’s the teasing about dinosaurs? Did I overlook something? I saw Kong, but not any dinos. Did I miss something? I mean, I did watch Peter Jackson’s King Kong and I know there were dinosaurs in Skull Island, but I definitely missed the dino reference in this trailer.

  2. i was seeing trailier half the day today and just watched it again and all i see is a skull and bones of some dinosaurs

  3. Having dinosaurs in this film would be great but this Kong is based on the Toho Kong (that’s why he’s so big) and those Kong films didn’t have dinosaurs, neither did the 1976 Kong film. Hoping that dinos will be in it but not so sure.

  4. While there probably will be giant insects the appearance of dinosaurs is not yet quaranteed outside the Triceratops skull. I’d still like to see Kong fight something of his own size in this movie like he did with the Gorosaurus in Toho’s “King Kong Escapes”.

  5. re: dinosaurs –
just listen to the dialog, people.
And the skulls are not fossils buried under eons of earth, they’re recent kills.
By 2020’s Godzilla Vs. King Kong, the intrepid explorers’ 1970s discovery of Skull Island will have no doubt become nicknamed “Monster Island”, so expect to see a certain giant spider, mantis, serpent, and a theropod by the name of Goro make appearances. 😉

  6. Well as I remember correctly in King Kong Escapes and KK vs Godzilla, there were Gorosaurus, Sea Serpent, Giant Snake (1976 film), Giant Octopus, and Giant Lizard. If the people of WB and Legendary stay true to ToHo’s kong. Then we might see them on the film along with a giant Triceratops-like dinosaur, Skull Crawlers, giant spider, water ox, and some other creatures. Hopefully we’ll see it. :p
