There are three distinct variations of Velociraptor which were cloned by InGen, not counting sexual dimorphism seen within each individual version. However, despite the surface level variations, each sub-species remains relatively similiar in terms of physical attributes. Each species is roughly 6 feet tall…

Official Images of the Jurassic Park Funko Pop Line Have Arrived! (Updated with exclusives)

At long last, official images of the Funko Pop Jurassic Park line have arrived!

Just days ago, we had a sneak peak at the product range via conceptual artwork that was released, and now final products have been revealed! This marks the first toy range released for the first Jurassic Film since the Kenner toys in 1993, and arrives just in time for the 25th Anniversary celebration, which the box art showcases.

Take a look at the images first spotted by Funko Pop Hunters, and read on for the update from Funko!

The lineup is everything I wanted from Funko (minus Ellie not getting a stand-alone figure… and not even being mentioned by name on her packaging), and I am incredibly excited to pick up the set. This will be my first foray into Funko collecting, but assuming Funko aspires to live by the words of John Hammond, and continues to spare no expense, it will not be my last.

Also, great news for the Jurassic super fans – the concept art omitted the Velociraptors sickle claw, but the final toy rectified this error! The only change needed for absolute accuracy would be the Jeeps number, which should be #10 – the open top vehicle with the tool box in the back.

Shortly after we initially ran this article, Funko released a blog post featuring more information about the line – one highlight being shirtless Malcolm (above). Check out the image below of the entire exclusive and chase lineup!

The full list is as follows, with links to pre-orders:

The Jurassic Park Funko Pops release this February, so keep your eyes open! More Pops are certainly on the way, as a Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom line is expected – and perhaps a wave 2 for Jurassic Park, featuring Robert Muldoon, Donald Gennaro, Ray Arnold, Tim, and Lex.

As always, stay tuned for the latest news, and let us know what you think of the Funko Pops in the comments below!

  1. It irks me that these are the first products we can talk about on record. Where was the love from these ding-dongs before Jurassic World? Why did they sleep on Jurassic Park when it came back to theaters in 3D? Heck, I’m willing to bet those guys only made the Alien Queen because the NECA toys already had a large following. Funko’s a trend chaser, nothing more and nothing less.

      1. i hope there will be a TLW and JP3 line. then i can look at the images because you dont need to buy them! seriously though, you dont need the physical figure. just an image

  2. I’m really happy for people who enjoy Funko Pops. I really do 🙂

    [Warning: extremely negative opinion ahead.]

But speaking personally, I am entirely fed up with them. Yes, I am a pariah in this I’m sure, but it just feels like it’s made exclusively to stimulate and prompt addictive spending and collecting habits,

Justified by this veneer of ‘we’re doing this for the fans, to celebrate the film/game/Series, we’re all just fans and this is just a way to express that in a way that people can have fun with’ —

Honestly, I call bullshit on that.

I just straight up hate these stupid, big eyes pieces of crap, and I hope this fad dies away and is forgotten forever.

This, and LEGO as well, although at least the latter is somewhat about having fun building things. These stupid, idiotic things just sit there,

    Empty wallets,

    Take up space,

    And gather dust.

    [Negative Opinion ended]

Hope we get to see more reveals soon! 🙂

    1. I know you got a good rant in. But your last statement is kind of everything when your past the age of ten. Papo, Rebor, Sideshow, Chronicle, Lego, and now Funko. Yes they are more odd ball of a collective piece but still achieve the same fate.

      “Empty wallets,

      Take up space,

      And gather dust. ”

You also forgot the last one “Resell on ebay”

      1. Haha, I love this! Very good point, and well made. I teetered on wether or not to share such a strong opinion, but I figured as long as preface it, remain civil, and make sure I’m not robbing anyone of their fun, that it would be ok to share 🙂

    2. To be honest, I’ve been waiting for these to exist! It’s got nothing to do with empty wallets and taking space. Some of us just like having these cute figures because we like the way they look and we like the franchise. I’ve only got the ones for the movies I actually like. I don’t think its got much to do with addictive spending and more just a fun way to collect something you enjoy. If you don’t like them, don’t buy them, but they’re pretty innocent really. And they’re not like these toys they have wrapped in a box as a “mystery” where you don’t know what you’ll get. These show up front what you’re getting, and pretty damn inexpensive usually. I’ve wanted one of these for years but was sad they didn’t have any for JP. Now I can finally have one because I’m a fan of the style.

    3. I don’t know If I would throw LEGO into that because that is aimed at Kids like me and not adults. even for adults they can be fun to play with. In the end, the toyline is just the same from your point of view. But… Everybody has their own opinions. At least you had a good reason to hate on these and not just a random rant. In my opinion pop figures are dumb because you can’t do anything w/ them. Unlike the toyline and LEGO, where you can actually play with them.

  3. Upset of the jeep and the t rex. Why that big ole box for him. He looks out of place in it. Also Ellie. Why do they keep sweeping her under the jeep like she s not important. Park vehicle. More like wrong jeep. Such disrespect to a great character.

  4. Ditto on the Pop irritation. The lack of quality control is what kills it for me every time. I started to pick up a few online, but quickly realized that I felt the need to buy multiples of each figure just to insure I got one with good paint applications. That’s bad. I’m still not sure where I stand on these versions. Part of me just wants Nedry to stick next to my computer, ha ha.

  5. First of all, look at that! They put the sickle claws on the raptor!

And second…no offense, but who cares about these things? I wanna see the main toyline!

  6. They look pretty fun but I would rather burn my money than spend it on Funko. You can’t even do anything with them so I’m truly wondering why they are so popular.

    1. It’s more of a collector thing and can be used as a decoration like a statue, just a lot cheaper and with a cartoonist, childish design. I only collect a few from certain movies and media that I enjoy. They are relatively cheap and go down to a lower price (if you’re lucky that the one you want is still in stock) after a few months when a new series is released. I’m very interested in shirtless Jeff Goldblum, for the memes of course.

  7. Jurassic Park as a whole isn’t something that gets a lot of attention when it comes to merchandising. I’m glad they’re doing this and I’ll probably buy almost all of them. My only issue is that I want to see more merchandising of the original movie. I’m glad Funko isn’t leading off with JW, but I’m skeptical that other companies will do the same.

  8. NOW all we need is a:

Loose Ellie Sattler with Ray Arnolds arm on her shoulder

    Genarro on the toilet

    Fried Timmie

    Lex covered in Brachio snot

Muldoon….. cause he is cool enough

Grant & Malcolm touching hands in the Ford Explorer

  9. The raptor oddly reminds me of the Troodon from the game….The dinosaurs are the only ones i plan to get. It kind of bothers me on how the humans lack mouths….The Velociraptor is the i want most.

  10. Completely on a side note, I gotta say, “Wow!” Universal does have a knack for letting promotion die down. I mean, I know it’s still a long wait until the release, but is that even normal, guys?

    1. I’m glad they’re doing it this way this time around. Before Jurassic World came out, so much promotional material, concept art, and trailers/teasers/TV spots had been released that a lot of the scenes involving the Indominus weren’t even new or surprising to me anymore. I want more mystery.

  11. I wish Q-Figs would come out with something Jurassic Park. Their quality is awesome and I hope they have a tie in with the original movie.
